The test’s objective was to see if the foreign server hardware in the projects delivered by AMT Group could be replaced with Russian-made equipment and verify if the latter was compatible with virtualization platforms used in current projects, such as VMware vSphere, Virtuozzo and the Russian virtualization solution zVirt.
Full-featured tests were conducted on each of the installed virtualization platforms. During Virtuozzo testing, the functionality of the built-in software-defined storage (SDS) was additionally tested. The test results confirmed the stable operation of the platforms on GAGAR>N servers, as well as the expected performance of the servers at the level of installed processors and memory capacity.
"GAGAR>N servers, combined with the storage devices offered by the company, are well suited for large-scale big data and web projects. Corporate customers might be interested in servers as a hardware platform for building large software-defined data storages, hyperconverged platforms for virtualization and cloud solutions," said Vladimir Popov, Head of the Infrastructure for Information Systems Department at AMT Group.
"We are happy to help our partners' customers in tackling the challenges of upgrading and creating a highly efficient, flexible and independent computing infrastructure," said Lesya Vinogradova, Head of GAGAR>N – OCP Experience Lab Moscow.
